The Dream Beneath the Dream™ is an invitation to look beneath the goals, changes, desires, and next chapters of our lives, and listen for what may be quietly calling beneath them.
Perhaps you know this feeling.
You may be moving toward something you have wanted for a long time. Or perhaps you have already arrived somewhere you once dreamed of reaching.
And yet, beneath the plans, the progress, or even the success, there is a quiet sense that something more is asking for your attention.
Maybe something that once fit no longer feels quite the same.
Maybe you are standing at the edge of a new chapter and the old map cannot show you where to go next.
Or maybe you cannot name what is changing at all. You simply know that something is.
Sometimes what is calling us forward is not the whole dream.
Sometimes it is leading us toward the dream beneath it.
What is The Dream Beneath the Dream?
The dream we can see is often the easiest one to name.
It may be the business we want to build. The relationship we hope to find. The money we want to earn. The recognition, success, change, or new beginning we believe will take us somewhere we long to be.
There is nothing wrong with those dreams.
But sometimes, when we look beneath what we are reaching for, we discover that the visible dream is carrying something deeper.

The deeper dream will not be the same for everyone. It is not a hidden answer from a predetermined list. It is the deeper longing, truth, calling, or knowing that exists beneath what is easier to name.
The external dream calls you forward.
The deeper dream calls you home.
And this is where something begins to shift.
The visible dream may take time to build, find, create, or become.
But you may not have to wait for it to arrive before you begin living something of the deeper dream.
It began with a different question.
I thought I was looking for clarity about what came next.
Instead, I found myself facing a deeper question. Not simply, What do I want? but What am I really seeking beneath what I want?
That question changed the way I understood dreams.
I began to see that the things we reach for are not necessarily wrong. Sometimes there is something deeper beneath them, something we may not yet have learned to name.
What am I really seeking beneath what I want?
Sometimes a different question opens a different way of seeing.
Seeing. Listening. Living.
Recognizing the dream beneath the dream is only the beginning.
The invitation is to notice what is asking to be seen, create space to listen more deeply, and begin allowing what you discover to shape the way you live.
Seeing
Looking beneath the dream you can name and becoming curious about what may be asking for your attention.
Listening
Creating enough quiet to hear what may be difficult to recognize beneath expectation, habit, and the voices around you.
Living
Allowing what you recognize to become more than an insight by beginning to honour it in the life you are already living.
You do not have to know the whole path to begin listening for what is calling.
Sometimes the first step is simply becoming willing to notice.
A moment to notice.
Perhaps there is a dream in your life that has been asking for your attention.
It may be something you are moving toward, something you have already created, or something you cannot quite name yet.
For just a moment, set aside the question of how to make the dream happen.
What might you be hoping this dream will allow you to feel, experience, remember, or become?
You do not need to force an answer.
Simply notice what comes.
Sometimes the deeper dream does not begin with an answer. It begins as a recognition.
Listening beneath the noise.
There are many voices that can shape the dreams we pursue.
Expectations. Responsibilities. Old beliefs. Other people's ideas of who we should be. Even our own ideas about who we thought we would become.
Sometimes, hearing what is quietly calling beneath them requires a different kind of listening.

In my work, they offer a quiet place for inquiry, where we can bring the questions, dreams, transitions, and uncertainties of our lives and listen for what may be asking to be recognized more deeply.
